Re: Let's...
Let us construct a hypothetical place with some strict gun laws:
Well, let's be accurate, it has strict gun controls for America. That's rather like being the most strait-laced swinger at the orgy.

Re: Gun show loop hole
You cannot require a license for a Right. A Right is inalienable. For example, recall the whole issue of Voter ID. You do not need a license to vote in this country. Never have, never will.
Liberty is specifically listed in the Declaration of Independence as an inalienable right. So why are there prisons?

Re: How gun laws tyrannize people
What evidence could you possibly have for historical facts other than people saying they occurred? And if many people say it that ought to carry some weight.
Ah, I see. So, for example, merely by existing, "9-11 Truthers" provide evidence that Bush was behind 9-11. After all, they say so, and there are many of them.
Or maybe a bunch of crazy people saying crazy stuff isn't evidence of anything except their need to take their meds.
You are asking for a sort of evidence that isn't possible.
Whereas by contrast it is possible to find evidence for real historical events that actually happened, isn't it?
What would convince you that historically genocides are linked to gun laws? Anything?
Well, you could kick off by providing evidence of the Great British Genocide which followed the introduction of more stringent gun laws in 1997, or the Great Australian Genocide which followed the introduction of more stringent gun laws in 1996. Or you could show that when the Nazis weakened the stringent gun control laws imposed by the liberal Weimar Republic, this helped to prevent genocide in Nazi Germany, and that no genocide occurred in Germany until the German people were completely disarmed by the Allies in 1945.

Re: Another conspiracy is made up fantasy ...
Hey, Faith? Question? If the NRA were to be put in charge of national background checks, would you be in favor of that? I think they could do a good job. And they'd have reason to do a good job....
They have a reason to do a bad job. They're funded by the gun industry, every sale is another dollar in the pocket of their paymasters. And the money of crazed loons is just as green and crinkly as everyone else's.

No, the idea is that if armed guards are considered to be necessary to make anyone safe then they are the obvious solution to the school shooter problem.
What's more, if we give every schoolchild their own security detail, that'll solve our unemployment problem too! Several times over.

Re: How gun laws tyrannize people
Try trusting people who did the research to make a video and write some books on the subject you nasty lousy evil people who refuse to accept decent information but keep demanding the impossible.
But why is it impossible for you to produce real evidence?

Re: How gun laws tyrannize people
Your fantasies do not actually explain why you can't find any real evidence.
Perhaps it's because it doesn't exist, or perhaps it's because you're too lazy to look. I'm guessing that the fundamental reason is that it doesn't exist, but that you're also too lazy to look. But if what you were saying was true and known to be true, there would be primary sources for it, and if you weren't lazy, you'd be able to find them.

Re: How gun laws tyrannize people
YOU do the work, you lazy moron. You come up with the evidence.
I cannot find evidence for the crazy things that stupid liars have made up, because there is no evidence for the crazy things that stupid liars have made up. This is why I do not go about asserting the truth of the crazy things that stupid liars have made up.
Now, what's your reason for not producing evidence for your assertions?
Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.

Well, I wasn't going to be the first to suggest it.

You moron.
The cogency of your argument is matched only by the elegance of your literary style.

Re: How gun laws tyrannize people
Can you purchase any of the guns now mentioned in the executive orders? That is equivalent to taking away your guns in my book.
Well, it's a strange way of putting it. Would you say that the government has taken away your heroin?

Re: How gun laws tyrannize people
When and where did you have a right to possess heroin?
I never said I did. What I asked was: has the government taken away foreveryoung's heroin?
Clearly it hasn't, because foreveryoung never had any heroin. (Unless there are some interesting details of foreveryoung's biography to which I am not privy.) It has taken steps to make it hard for him to acquire heroin, but it hasn't taken his heroin away.
We might as well speak accurately --- unless we have some interest in obfuscating the situation.

Re: Problem Solving at its Best -- proposal #1: FOIDs
Here is a nice little documentary you might want to view before you start saying those things are reasonable.
Is it the usual made-up stuff?
During world war II many American citizens of Japanese descent were locked up in camps.
They should have used their guns to defend themselves. Oh, wait, then they'd all have been shot instead.

Re: so outlaw magazines\clips for loading ammunition
Yea like in Switzerland where every house has a gun and gun deaths are so low they do not even keep a record of them.
If they don't keep a record of the figure, how do you know how low it is?
