Re: Science strong in Europe?
You have no clue what you are talking about and i wish you would stop sayng these insulting things about people, they were civilized, just not the way you think they should have been, which seems only to be believers in christ
none of the people in europe were animals! they had systems of goverment many of them had womans rights before we did, nearly a thousand years ago
they had property rights and judges, bards, druids etc.
christianty killed our knowlege of these people for the most part, we barely know about them other than what the monks wrote down which wasn't much
wild warring tribes? you need to read more about these peoples
civilization is prepective to them they didn't want or need someone elses problems
Christianity destroyed much knowlege of things that they found wrong or heretical, occult though it maybe it still was knowlege, though this won't mean anything to you. It means much to me the loss of knowlege

Re: God and the Fall
he created us shouldn't the fault lie with the creator and not the created?
i mean come on faith, if some guy makes a chair and someone buys it and it breaks the next day the first time they sit on it do we blame the chair for being faultly made or the maker?
being that we are suppost to be made, and the maker instills all the things we are made up of its his fault if we go bad, not ours
when you don't have the capasity to understand things do we blame someone because they don't understand something?

Re: God and the Fall
sadly the majority of believers can be overly gullible, good for buisness bad for the bilked.
i always found zeus so much more reasonable than yanweh, at least if zeus didn't do anything it was because he was too busy or just didn't care
its easy it seems to con people with the unknown, just look at any of the psyics, if they did have those powers i would think they could win the lottery

Re: God and the Fall
i guess we can't blame the creator for faults for the creation?
well i guess next time if a bridge collapes i'll blame the people on the bridge and not the contractor or designer

Re: No progress
Even if you could explain the flood using only natural causes, you will convince the non-believer that there was a flood, but not that God caused it.
Even though this may well be off topic, i found this rather strange. how in the world would you convince a non-believer the flood happened?
if you only told them the story you have to add in a lot of things that would be impossible
most people who do not believe in the story already would not believe yo u the second you start talking about how 8 people and 2 each animal repopulated the earth much less how they survived to get were they live now
{aBE: as for natural causes, we barely can seem to move anywhere on that, no one seems to be willing to explain how anything could survive the amount energy released by the flood, much less where the rain went}
