Re: acting out
porn is for whimps and wussies that can't get a date or maintain a decent relationship. porn is for irresponsible individuals who are affraid of commitment and wish to live in fantacy land like peter pan.
it's a shame, because love from a real person, even with all the challenges, is far, FAR greater than any image.

Quick Facts
Effects of Viewing Pornography
by David Sanford
When it comes to pornography, one look isn’t enough.
Pornography’s appeal may seem innocent at first. ("What’s wrong with looking at the beauty of the human body?") Like cocaine, however, pornography is quickly addictive.
Pornography creates a strong physiological response in men and women. The immediate "rush" of a first exposure to pornography is often followed by intensely negative feelings.
In subsequent viewings, the same types of pornographic stimuli produce increasingly weaker physiological responses.
This law of diminishing returns often prompts individuals to seek edgier and darker forms of pornography, which may include depictions of sexual foreplay, sexual intercourse, violence, murder, child sexual abuse, homosexuality, orgies, or bestiality.
The intense pull of pornography can eventually drag viewers into a shocking underworld of "adult entertainment," which includes visits to "adult" stores, strip joints, topless bars, massage parlors, and other areas frequented by male and female prostitutes.
Even if one doesn’t act out sexually, the costs of pornography are staggering.
David Sanford is president of Sanford Communications, Inc., and author of the Living Faith Bible.

Yeah, if you're going to believe that, than there is simply no arguing with you. That is by far the most rediculous thing you've said yet.
I will pray for you.

Re: acting out
Not everyone becomes and addict of something that is addictive for most everyone else and not everyone becomes a serial killer either, but when you watching porn, you're watching someone's daughter, sister, or mother.
If that doesn't make you sick, than you're further gone than you realize:

Re: Free will oogling..Does God care?
I thought that this sight might have some intellectual conversations, but I guess not.
If you're watching homosexual porn, then you're journal of perversion is getting ever deaper.
When you make love to a women, she is supposed to be your wife.
When you watching a women have sex with someone or thing else, she isn't or at least, shouldn't be your wife.
Looks like the depravity of Rome and Greece are just around the corner.
God let it not be. In Jesus Name. Amen

Yes, I would agree, perversion predates probably all of its manifestations.
As soon as Adam disobeyed God, that's when it all started.

Re: looping the loop for the loopy
By what you're saying, I guess it is clear that you would not care if your sister, mom, or daughter was in a porn movie and you would not care if thousands of people watched her?
Porn, like any perversion, leads to more perversion. Skin flicks lead to penatration to orgies to gang rape to masochism to beastiality, in no special order.
Have you ever heard of snuff films or child porn. We're not just talking about Jenna Jamison here.
From my world view it's all damaging, but maybe from yours you can realize that porn is not limited just blonde sluts that fulfill that average mans fantacy.
You even agree that reality is better than fantacy.
And if watching Charlton Heston movies had the same affect as porn than advertisers would be falling over each other to get him to sell their products.
Sex is one of the most powerful temptations known to man. Nobody is immune to it, but sex in marriage is a million times better than watching an image.
That's the problem, people are content with mud puddles when they could have the ocean.
That's the problem with porn, not only is it damaging to self and society, but it prevents people from experienceing truly earth shattering pleasure.

Voyeurism-A person who derives sexual gratification from observing the naked bodies or sexual acts of others, especially from a secret vantage point.
An obsessive observer of sordid or sensational subjects.
So you do agree with me that the best sex is with someone you love and someone who loves you (love meaning couples love)?
So would you also say that driving a car is best done with your hands?
I mean you could do it with your feet or teeth, but why would you?
Of course you get pleasure from voyeurism. You can get pleasure from staring at a wall AND touching yourself.
Why do messages feel good, because they feel good, same with rubbing other parts of the body.
But I think it is quite clear the hedonism is by its very nature never satisfied, so yes, very simply and without citing anything, just using comman sense, skin flicks lead to ever greater searched for greater pleasure. That's just logical.
Maybe that's not what's happening to you, but do a little research on the effects of porn on society. You'll be surprised.
But how about this, what if the effect, say in one specific circumstance, was that a husband loses his attraction to his wife, because he spends so much time watching porn, that he needs it just to enjoy sex with her? Which of course leads to a whole bunch of other problems. What if that's it, and the affects aren't that you become like Ted Bundy. Would that be enough to convince you that porn is damaging.
You basically remind me of a person who drinks and drives and says how it doesn't hurt no one because I'm okay when I have a "few" and then drive, I ain't killed nobody yet. YET!!!
Here's a few citations showing the devastating impact of pornography:

The point of the article is to show you just how perverted you and the rest of America is becoming, because this nation has slowly allowed sexual perversion to creap into all facets of society.
Pedophilia is slowly becoming normalized. College professors are writing books stating it is acceptable to have sex with children because it helps them become more sexually well adjusted.
And it started because people wanted to watch a "little" porn. And it don't hurt nobody.
And I never said there was anything wrong with hedonism, but it does matter what your source of pleasure is. Bad sources lead to bad affects.

Post your links again.
What if I did show you conclusive evidence that porn is damaging? What then, would you turn away from it, would you have the strength to?
What about now, just as an exercise, could you stop relying on porn and find pleasure solely in reality?
What are you afraid of?
