Does Darwinism Equal "No God"?

i personally am quite tempted to believe that undirected mutations merely means that living things don't decide 'oh i need to grow wings to i can eat the mangos' and then slowly develop wings. they randomly develop something which they use as a pseudo wing (something like flying squirrels) and it helps them get more food so they don't die and thus the mutation makes it to the next generation. eventually there is some other mutation which makes them look more like bats with real wings.there is no purposeful direction initiated by the organism. this speaks nothing of outside direction. but i'll be the first to admit that outside direction is a needless and pointless addendum. it just makes some people feel better.
