And another question. When it turns out that the LGBT people aren't as generous as all of you about allowing us to say what we believe in public, but get street preachers arrested for "discriminating" against them by preaching that homosexual acts are sin, are you with them or with us? And when they come to our churches and get our pastors arrested for the same "offense" are you with them or with us? Of course I realize most of you won't even hear about such events because the mainstream media won't cover them, but just as a hypothetical, whose side are you on?

I'll say it again: Christian businesses do not deny any service to homosexuals except a service that validates gay marriage according to the conscience of the business owner.

Doesn't change the fact that you have no problems when it's other people's religious beliefs getting the same treatment.

How is it a lie? You don't mention anything untrue about it. And The businesses I have in mind ARE "Christian" on both sides of the comparison.

Then how can you know that it is untrue?Really Faith, I don't see how you can be confused about this after the number of times it comes up. The segregationists believed that the Bible requires that the races should be separate. A segregationist who tries to stop different races mixing on his premises or who refuses to bake a wedding cake for an interracial couple breaks the anti-discrimination laws. The same laws with the same penalties that your "Christian" bakers broke.And you haven,t spoken up up once for the segregationists.

Even though the tradition in what became the US was of Protestant Christian discrimination I would of course stand beside you when anyone came to your churches to get your pastors arrested for simply preaching short of exhortation of violence.

You are bringing up a totally different situation as a distraction, just to serve your need to have something to accuse me of. I have no idea whether there was ever a situation of a segregationist bakery that served blacks everything but a wedding cake, and I suspect you don't either. I have no idea whether segregationist businesses were fined or driven out of business when the law went against them. I don't know enough of the history to answer you but your tactic is transparent and nasty. I might defend their right to their conscience under certain circumstances although I think they didn't have a Biblical leg to stand on, I don't know, and I don't know how such situations were handled at the time either I do know you are playing a nasty game here.Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

Now that is untrue. The situation is sufficiently similar to be relevant. Again you are throwing accusations but providing no support for them whatsoever. And THAT seems to be a clear diversionary tactic.The facts are clear, the similarities are there. if you won't address the issue honestly then you are implicitly accusing yourself.

Learn a little history Faith.Woolworth allowed blacks to do just about everything in their store except eat at the counter. They could shop, spend money, buy food to go, just about anything except sit at the White Counter.BUT... you still have not offered any reasoning to support a cake validating a marriage.I support your right to be an ignorant evil bigot but that does not mean you can break the law.
