That's what you demanded. That you shouldn't have to hear anyone say that there is no afterlife. Because it upset you to hear it.
That isn't caring about the victims. If anyone needs to experience real suffering it is you. "What about them" you ask - as if they consder your feelings the most important thing. Whether there is an afterlife or not my saying that there isn't won't harm someone who's been tortured to death.
And no, the suffering in this world is not evidence of an afterlife full stop. If it were you could present valid reasoning moving from the fact of suffering to the truth of the afterlife. But you have not even tried - preferring emotional blackmail instead.
The universe is indifferent to us. Our species grew up in an environment far harsher than those of us lucky to live in the civilised world experience. Much of life makes it's living through exploiting other life forms as resources - including us. Is it any surprise then that the world is as it is ? And if we are to continue to make things more as we would wish them to be we must actually DO it. Complaining that people say things that we wish to be untrue is no help there.
