Oh really,
because I see a world that justifies evil actions with good men.
If this ethnocentric, polluted, corporate world is better than "how it was before" than I don't know what to think.

I could have sworn you said earlier that this "hellhole" (aka the real world) isn't worth it to change for the better and that people should look forward to the afterlife rather than trying to change anything now.
I never said that. I know you want me to so you look like some mother threresa savoir but I didn't.
I guess you got that impression because you like trying to make me look bad i.e. calling me a racist etc. Maybe you should hold back and speak something worthy of reading.
I want to help ppl here and now.
I just realized a long time ago that people kill people.
It's a recurring theme.
Jesus actually focused on his "here and now".

Yeah, it does upset me that this could be a world without justice.

No idea what you are on about Chris. Maybe you should stay away from those theologians, they are a strange lot.

Do you ? Why then are you here demanding that everyone accept your "evidence" (which is no more than a crude attempt at emotional blackmail) and agree with you, when that won't do anything about injustice. Why not make some effort - however small - to alleviate injustice and to encourage others to make such efforts ? Sending a dollar to, say, Medicins San Frontiere would do a lot more than your "contribution" here.
Quite frankly I have to question whether you don't in your heart LIKE the injustice in the world. `You certainly find it convenient and are quite happy to try to take advantage of it.

How about a time where the injustice you speak about was not only common place but accepted? Think of the Middle Ages, think of Ancient Rome. There was a time in this world where there was no room for "good men", and what was considered good would today be called "evil".
Homans are pretty nasty critters, but we are evolving. And I belive firmly that we are better off today than we ever were before.

Based on what I have read, isn't chris a little young for angel dust? He's been at it for days, too.

what? dont jump to conclusions
I find that post disgusting that you would assume I care about evidence, that I search for it. It's simply right there. It's sad, I get frustrated about it. I wish I could give someone a better life. I'm not trying to convert anyone. I simply want to believe that ppl get a chance to live and be happy.
I'm sorry you disagree, I am doing something about it even on this forum:
Public awareness. I'm making you aware of the atrocities of this existence.
Plz don't make me out to be some kind of evangelist that would use any type of lie or statistic of deaths or pain to be right in my own mind or to persuade others. I'm not pushing deism, I'm not pushing God on you, I'm writing why I believe what I do, I think you might be interested.
Don't jump to conclusions,
it's inconsiderate to guess motives, especially if you think villianous ones about me,
Remember what TI said:
you don't know me.

oh dear - you really are off in fantasy land if you think life in america is particularly representive of the rest of the world.
Here's your starter for ten:
quote:
Most of his address was concerned about health issues, and during a subsequent question and answer session he was unwilling to tailor his remarks to the predilections of Business Week chairman of events Scott Shuster, who was serving as moderator.
At one point, Shuster pressed Gates about the viability of the market of people who make less than $1 a day. Gates paused, and said that this was "not a significant market" before addressing the comment more directly.
"Do people have a clear idea of what it means to make $1 a day?" Gates said. "There is no electricity. No power systems. These people are trying to stay alive. There is no need for a PC."
When Shuster mentioned solar power as a possibility Gates became even more agitated, saying solar power was not affordable at that level. Shuster then talked about CEOs who "get it" with regard to the Internet, and stated that Gates -- if these "health first" comments were any indication -- didn't "get it."
"I've never been a 'get it' kind of guy," Gates said. "But I get there are other things these people need other than technology."

Re: what? dont jump to conclusions
I'm disgusted with what you've been writing.
And you certainly care enough about evidence to call your crude attempt to manipulate peopel "evidence".
quote:
Plz don't make me out to be some kind of evangelist that would use any type of lie or statistic of deaths or pain to be right in my own mind or to persuade others.
But you ARE using it to push your belief in an afterlife. You even call it "evidence". But all you can do is suggest that we somehow owe it to the victims not to hurt YOUR feelings. How can I NOT be disgusted by something so self-centred and uncaring ?

I agree that the world is ugly and miserable, Chris, but you don't have to make it worse by writing bad poems.
The way to cure yourself of the poetry-writing habit is to begin a regimen in which, whenever you are in a poetic mood, you have to write sonnets in rhymed iambic pentameter (ababcdcdefefgg). That's so difficult to do that pretty soon you'll give it up and go back to plain prose.
