Re: Evolution and God
That includes what it says about the Flood and the origin of the human race in one couple. These things are definitely contradicted by today's science. Both are specifically contradicted by the ToE.
The Biblical Flood myth is not contradicted by the ToE, it's contradicted by geology. The ToE is biology and says nothing about the flood.

Re: Evolution and God
I agree that when you get into the details the ToE contradicts the Flood myth, on the surface it says nothing. The surface being "species change over time".
edited for a bit more clarity.

Re: Evolution and God
It's contradicted by evolutionistic interpretations of geology.
Really? Cause the idea that there was no biblical flood existed before the ToE was put forth by Darwin. Lyell was against the Biblical Flood myth as early as the 1820s while Darwin did not publish On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life until 1859. Do you have any evidence that the current study of geology is being twisted by "evolutionistic interpretations"?
edited to add: this is all off topic.
On Topic: Is Evolutionist Disparagement of Creationism Justified?
Yes, for all the reasons given by the more eloquent posters.

Re: Evolution and God
I am referring to the GEOLOGICAL TIME TABLE
thats not what you said back in message #63:
That includes what it says about the Flood and the origin of the human race in one couple. These things are definitely contradicted by today's science. Both are specifically contradicted by the ToE.
Where do you mention the geological time table? You specifically said that the Flood myth was contradicted by the ToE not by the geological time table. All the ToE says is that organisms change over time, nothing more.
Also so thats a no to my question of: Do you have any evidence that the current study of geology is being twisted by "evolutionistic interpretations"?

Re: oh nonsense!
But I'd guess that 99.99999999% of what geologists know has no real bearing on the idea of an old earth, the timeline etc.
Seeing as you've already admitted to not knowing much about geology, this statement is just more of your bullshit.
