You can't procreate with same gender sex
unless you're the lesbian lizards of arizona and nevada. they do procreate with only females.

Your generation is near the "end times" of the wrath of Gods and it is you people who are getting God's wrath up in your attitude towards him, decency and what is natural.
Ignoring the invocation of Pascal's Wager, can we get a date here? Jesus said that the people he was directly talking to would live to see the end of the world. So unless you're going to say there are some 2000-year-old people wandering around, it didn't happen.
Tell you what: If we make it to 2010 and the world hasn't ended, can we finally put to rest the claim that we are living in the "end times"? How many generations need to pass before it becomes obvious that prophecies of the "end times" are ridiculous?
quote:
Wise up folks, is my advice, and live.
BZZZZT!
Pascal's Wager. I'm so sorry, buzsaw. Johnny, tell him what parting gifts he has!
Well, Bob, buzsaw has won himself a lifetime of anguish in someone else's hell! Yes, that's right. After spending all of his life fighting against Satan and worshipping the Christian god, buzsaw gets a reward of going straight to Hades for his hubris. He'll be sentenced to solve a series of puzzles for which the instructions can be read in many ways. Every attempt to glean more information will be met with "Since it would just be a waste of my time to tell you, I won't." Of course, every proposed solution will conflict with something in the contradictory instructions. This being for his continued insistence that those around him are unworthy of explanations.
But, he won't get hungry because he'll have an afterlife-time supply of Rice-a-Roni, the San Francisco Treat.
You didn't really think that the god that truly exists was the Christian one, did you?

Re: One good reason (and this goes beyond being gay)
Then why is it illegal to commit suicide?
Still not a good enough reason.

You haven't answered the question either, give me a reason I should accept it as being ok.
Because it doesn't harm you or anybody you know, and insofar as it harms them (which is not greatly), they're ok with it.

ALL SINS ARE FORGIVABLE; somehow I doubt blasphemy is as unforgivable as people say.
I agree with that.
How about this: Born2Preach wants one good reason that being gay is NOT okay.

riVeRraT responds to pink sasquatch:
quote:
quote:
Also, you seem to be walking a fine-line - I've seen others do the same: "I accept them the way they are. I just do not agree with the act of being gay." If you don't agree with how they live their lives, you are not accepting them the way they are.
Don't do that, I will not accept that crap. I stated how I feel, I am not a liar. I Love people who choose to have same-sex relations just the same as everyone else.
If my mother was an alcoholic, would I Love her any less because she was doing something wrong?
That isn't what you said. You said:
I accept them the way they are.
Pink sasquatch's comment still stands: If you don't agree with how they live their lives, you are NOT ACCEPTING THEM THE WAY THEY ARE.
You can love somebody but recognize their flaws and hope that they would change.
But you cannot accept something if you think it is a flaw.
If you truly accept gay people the way they are, you wouldn't try to change them, you wouldn't think there was anything wrong with them, and you wouldn't discourage anybody else from being the same.
That's what "acceptance" means.
So did you mean what you said when you said you "accept" gay people "the way they are"?
quote:
I would even venture to say that statistics are wrong a good percentage of the time all on their own.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
You do see the delicious irony in that statement, do you not?
Hint: What do you think a percentage is?

Re: One good reason (and this goes beyond being gay)
Yes it is, and it makes my point that what doesn't hurt anyone else its ok theory is invalid.
I want a clear cut answer, without comparing it to something else.

Then why is it illegal to commit suicide?
I don't think it's even illegal to attempt it. When was the last time you heard about someone being charged for it? My brother in law made the attempt but they didn't charge him with anything.
Oh, yeah, I mean of course the police will try to stop you; that's what they do, protect people from fatal injury and harm.
But you don't see the police make you stop smoking, do you? Except in places where other people have to breathe it, of course. After all you didn't ask them. But it's legal to smoke, even though the consequences are way worse than two women going down on each other.

You are very welcome.
The argument is so simple it is hard to understand why people don't get it.

Arachnophilia responds to me:
quote:
quote:
But it is a scientific and obvious fact that the human organs are fit for same-sex sexual activity. Gay people have absolutely no trouble engaging in sexual activity. Since gay people can and do have sex, it necessarily is the case that the human body is made for gay sex.
is that something that can be naturally selected for?
I have no idea. It may be drift. It may be that the various structures involved are somewhat related and thus affecting one affects all the others.

You want one good reason why having gay sex is ok? Because some people are gay, having gay sex makes them feel good, and it doesn't hurt any of the rest of us one single bit for them to do so.
It doesn't hurt my mother or father if I commit suicide does it?
If I smoke pot, it doesn't hurt anyone else, provided I grow it myself and not buy it through a drug ring, where people can die for drugs.
