I want one good reason that being gay is ok

actually, no, it's not.the word being used in psalm 82 is 'eloyhim. this is the same 'eloyhim ("God") as in genesis 1:1. a lowercase title. it is however different from Adonai ("Lord") and different from YHVH ("LORD"). but uh, no, for the purpose of translation, it's no different from "God" big g.

actually, i find a strong correlation between fundamental christian parents and screwed up kids. i know quite a few that have done a number on their children, personally.i know that your argument is complete bs, from personal experience.

we had an argument one time in my high school drama class, it was me versus "jesus boy" for the most part. you know the sort, i'm sure. wears those tacky name-brand shirts, but with religious crap changed for brand names? like "Jesus" instead of "Reeses" and "Spirit" instead of "Sprite?"anywho, it was about the play at our local u called "corpus christi" about a gay man and his twelve friends that had a lot of strong religious imagery. the question the teacher posed was "can you be gay, and still be a christian?"his assertion was "no." i ran him in circles for about an hour.he said "to be a christian you have to repent, which means giving up sin. you cannot be a christian and living in sin."at which point i complimented him on his new haircut, and exclaimed that since leviticus also says "thou shalt not round off the corners of thine head" that he also was living in sin, and cannot be a christian.the obvious response was "but christ was a new covenant, and we are no longer held to the old laws" which of course is not at all what christ himself said, but"if you can cut your hair and eat your pork, people can be gay and still be christians"This message has been edited by Arachnophilia, 07-02-2004 11:41 PM

it most certainly does.unless, of course, you're asserting that you come from a family much more screwed up than your "screwd" friends who have gay parents.

i dunno, i'd just think that being gay would normally be counter-productive to reproductive success, and thusly tend to get weeded out unless the population has grown too much.of course, it might have other effects that make it successful reproductively and therefore selected for. perhaps psychological, or communal, such as with the bonobos?

no, it's not. look it up yourself.'eloyhim is a commonly used term, and is applied to alot of things spiritual and often false gods. sure, why not.
