Yes! That's why it says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Then it goes on to reveal how God created every creature after their own kind, and finally God created man in the image of God. If you think some parts are metaphorical, point them out from your viewpoint, and we who know our Creator will respond.

I will say the entire book of Genesis is metaphorical, mythological and/or alleghorical. It is stories told by bronze aged men about what they observed with the use of human imagination to "connect the dots."
If one looks at these stories though the eyes of those who told these stories instead of through 21st century eyes, one can easily see that the Genesis stories are no more real than Greek, Roman, Norse, Egyptian, Mayan, Hindi, Muslem and Chinese mythology.

So even though they replicate thousands of times faster than humans, still they are bacteria becoming, guess what? Bacteria. It's like finding a human that is a zillion years old and still insisting that he evolved.

Except for one thing, they are different bacterial species. The term Bacteria covers a wide range of groups, Neomura, Proteobacteria, Plantobacteria, cyanobacteria, Spirochetes, Sphingobacteria, Eobacteria, actinobacteria, & Firmocutes. Saying all bacteria were the same would be equivalent to saying that humans & jellyfish are the same.
Humans and Jellyfish are more closely related than cyanobacteria are to spirochetes.
