Some more non-help

Are there any Christians on this site who aren't Bible Literalists who can respond to the OP?
I used to be a Christian who wasn't a Bible Literalist, but I doubt I could have that title now.
Anyway, from what I remember, the Old Testament was considered to be metaphorical stories where the New Testament was considered to be literal with "miracles" as the explanation for things that don't seem to flow well with reality.
But I don't think I can be of any more help since I am no longer (and haven't been for years) a Christian of any sort.
