Re: political correctness
So, if political correctness is actually a joke, and was never really meant to be taken seriously, then who actually holds to the idea?
"Political Correct" is a term folk love to trot out, usually when their position has been shown to be absurd, bigotted, ridiculous or completely unsupportable. Their hope is that if they shout PC loudly and often enough that no one will notice as they sneak away tail between their legs.

Re: political correctness
What is the "white race"?
What is the ancestry?
Well, long, long ago in a land far, far away, a small dark monkey-like creature climbed down from a tree.
All of this whining is simply folk that looked up one day and saw on the wall...

On adding a touch of reality.
I was responding to Jar's nonsense.
And exactly which jars nonsense was that?
That's right. I was trying to balance the idea. I was trying to present a realistic picture of life.
You got a problem with that?
Perhaps you can explain this idea of yours in this thread finally.
I believe you called the thread, "On Judging Others".
How does that tie in with your statement "I was responding to Jar's nonsense."
I asume that you are not judging "others" there but rather some unidentified thing you call "nonsense".
Is that correct?
Do you think you could point us to this unidentified thing you call "nonsense".

Re: On adding a touch of reality.
All those pictures of birds and flowers that you stuck up there.
How sad. Were you under the impression that those pictures were not of reality?
We were talking about that other thread in which I mentioned the old veterans I saw at the hospital. Everybody jumped all over me for my feelings which were politically incorrect.
I assume you can show where they said your feelings were politically incorrect? I must have missed those posts.
I was using that example to illustrate the engrained nature of this politically correct morality which tries to dictate people's feelings. We're supposed to go around having nice, politically correct feelings all the time.
Likewise, I seem to have missed the post were someone said that. Perhaps you can provide the link?
What a pretense!
Or perhaps you can show us "What pretense" was involved?
