I meant whats the difference between killing an infant, or killing a fetus? No, I understood you. What about my post didn't you understand as an answer to your question?

What specifically is the difference between an umbilical cord, and a nursing mother?
Are you saying just because the baby is in air, that it can survive on it's own? Woman are not invisible to me, they are the crown of creation.

Let's get back to this rat thing. What is the difference between killing a rat and killing an infant?

What specifically is the difference between an umbilical cord, and a nursing mother? You can put formula in a bottle. The research to artificially duplicate the function of the uterus was abandoned in the 70's under pressure from right-to-life groups.

In what sense?
In regards to all living things, there is no difference. (warning the above statement is garaunteed to be taken out of context!!)

Oh crap, I guess all those neo-natal wards I helped build were all for nothing. I don't belong to any particular groups, so I could care less about right-to-life.

Oh crap, I guess all those neo-natal wards I helped build were all for nothing. Try to be clearer in your posts to me. This post, for instance, contained nothing that could be recognized as connected to the discussion at hand. I'm glad you helped build some hospitals, though.

A rat's fetus is just as precious to a rat, as a human fetus is to a mother. I agree with you.

quote: But that's not what you said. You said that rat mothers feel similarly about their offspring as humans do. Rats sometimes perform infanticide and cannibalism. Do you still want to claim that rat mothers and human mothers have the same feelings?

I don't think it is "reasoning, though. I think it is instinct. well yeah. but you know what i mean. but this is probably another example when the fundies will argue how unnatural something is and then when you demonstrate how natural it is, they go off on 'oh so you wanna be nothing more than animals?' ridiculous. what i wonder is this. can a mother's body reabsorb a fetus when resources are low, or will she simply abort? A rat's fetus is just as precious to a rat, as a human fetus is to a mother. no. that's really what you said.stop playing I DIDN'T SAY THAT games. it's really childish. and if you mean evolutionarily precious... well that's really dishonest for YOU to say.
