Re: The "omnipotence and omniscience are mutually exclusive" argument is weak!
God is omnipotent, but this does not mean that He will act at variance with His nature; for example, God CANNOT lie (because it is against His nature - i.e. a self-imposed limit - Titus 1:2) but this does not mean He is not omnipotent Yes it does. Unless you have a different definition for the word than what it actually means.
Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

Re: The "omnipotence and omniscience are mutually exclusive" argument is weak!
A God that chooses not to use certain powers isn't really omnipotent. Only the actual use of omni powers counts, not just the potential to use them. Why the strict rules? I can turn any metal into gold, I just choose not to.

Ok now I am confused. So what your saying is that your god is not omnipotent or omniscient. Is that correct?

Re: The "omnipotence and omniscience are mutually exclusive" argument is weak!
God never directly created evil. He created potential evil. Evil never became actual until it was chosen.
Message 289 Doesn't really support this
I never said that He was not all knowing and I never said that He was not all powerful. does it? ABE Oh yeah thanks for editing out the crap you originally had. It was condescending, insulting. Edited by Theodoric, : read email notification with original post from Phat

Re: The "omnipotence and omniscience are mutually exclusive" argument is weak!
Does this then imply that humans are not also responsible for choosing or rejecting Jesus Christ?
But according to you your god knew along who would "reject" this jesus guy so therefore since he is all powerful he is the one that made people reject. Edited by Theodoric, : No reason given.

Re: The "omnipotence and omniscience are mutually exclusive" argument is weak!
If I as a human agent can truly freely decide something, God is not all powerful since He cant make me decide otherwise. Is this what you are suggesting?
Ding, ding, ding, Johnny we have a winner. Cause since your god already knows what you are going to do then there really isn't any free will is there. It means EVERYTHING is preordained.

Re: The "omnipotence and omniscience are mutually exclusive" argument is weak!
so if everything is preordained, why not choose Jesus?
You are the one that is making the claim not me. Why you asking me?
the other alternative is the false spirit that says it itself is god. and even if you don't believe that, why not choose Jesus anyway?
But this would be counter to an omniscient, omnipotent god.
