Re: Conscience and consciousness
1. The mystery of consciousness.
2. The concept of "conscience."
Yea, These are the real you, your genuine psyche.
So, why even allow us neurotic naturalists to mockingly reduce the "real you", thus?
We are in denial, cold and cruel, venting and vaunting our own "cursed gut feelings" upon these vital 2 aspects of your reality.
Find a Christian, follow my posts.

Re: Okay, A Peer-Reviewed Paper: The Scriptures
My statement (or, rather, perception) of disbeliefs:
Regarding Allah:
That Allah (a.k.a, Ishtar, Eastar, Ashtoroth of Baal, etc) is the same ancient moon god ideology that Solomon fell into?
and has somehow de-evolved into the Easter bunny
and is somehow being adored in Christian churches every Jewish Passover season.
Regarding the Christ:
That Christ (and not the Pope) entered into death to trade my sins for His righteousness, and did steal away my curse by his eternal sacrifice, even an all-consuming heavenly sacrifice from before the foundations of the world (Revelation 13)
That Christ did rob my grave, carry my cross, and bear my eternal punishment of hellfire, etc., because I simply reasoned, repented and do believe (and profess) on Jesus’ name.
That evil men exist for that matter: Terrorism, greed, hatred, etc. are mere myths.
That Christ, and also Christ’s peer-reviewers (see the scriptures), so insultingly make us all out as evil sinners and insultingly declare our desperate need of such repentance to avoid damnation.
That an infinitely holy God actually prepared eternal hellfire for the devil and his angels, and would allow evil men to partake various levels of such eternal hellfire, even in an eternal lake of fire (Revelation 20-22), even for denying the name of Jesus the Christ.
as if one day’s confinement in hell isn’t enough to atone for my sins and the stumbling block I’ve been against science, educators, my children, my children’s children, etc., and moreover, against the Majestic Maker of my benefits.
That it is a free gift, reserved for sinners, and not good men, to treasure,
That denial of that gift of redemption from God is an inexcusable damnation, even the spirit of Anti-Christ.
That Christ actually remained in the grave (i.e., his sin-bearing psyche in the heart of a metaphysical earth) 3 days and 3 nights,
That Christ then burst forth in victoryrose from the dead the 3rd day afterwards,
That Christ swallowed death up (like a black hole), led captivity captive, gave eternal salvation and eternal weights of glory, especially to believing entities.
That this eternal Lamb of God, who was before the foundations, actually ascended back to the right hand of the Majesty on high, a Redemptive Designer of the universe.

Re: Okay, A Peer-Reviewed Paper: The Scriptures
I agree with you, evil is a very real thing. I was playing the devil's advocate.
Sincerely, Philip

Re: Neurosis
Generally, neurosis means poor ability to adapt to ones environment, an inability to change one’s life patterns, and the inability to develop a richer, more complex, more satisfying personality.
"Obsessive compulsive" is one specific neurosis going on here, at least in my own naturalistic cursed state.
...Obsessively and compulsively studying tiny nuances of the ToE that are non-productive, essentially.
...Obsessively and compulsively writing into the wind, like someone is REALLY going to benefit from believing in my mega-ToE scheme, especially regarding your (1) conscience and (2) consciousness.
...Or neurotically depressed: "Everything is pointless", "No Redemptive Events Exist", etc.
...We naturalists are neurotically insane, damned, and stumbling-blocks to educational truth, thus.

Re: metaphysical beliefs/disbeliefs
Based upon the subtle "mockery" of your response (correct me if I'm wrong) I think NosyNed may serve you better. Albeit, this entire forum seems to me as a metaphysical forum with mega-ToEs, YECs, philosophical refutes, etc.
Unless you agree that consciousness and conscience are truly metaphysical phenomena (if there be such a thing in what's left of your (and/or Ned's) reality)
But to you Lurkers, consider: Robinrohan's Newtonian physics hardly seem to apply to cosmic ToEs or relativistic phenomena. How much less do they apply to metaphysics, conscience, consciousness, and real personal events?

Forgive me, I may have aspired too much here.
