The Everret-Wheeler interpretation, commonly known as 'Mamy worlds', of quantum mechanics seems to be the one you mean. A recent experiment which has been reported and is presumbaly soon to be published has been claimed to show that both the Many Worlds and the Copenhagen interpretations are incompatible with the Quantum Formalism.
