Now we have suggestions of using this effect for computing.
Also it's also been sucessfully used in teleportation.

Re: Multiple univewrses?

To put it in more every-day terms, there has to be a universe where every penny that was ever tossed landed heads, and statistics just doesn't exist.
Why is every penny that was every tossed landing heads against statistics? There is absolutely nothing whatsoever stopping every penny ever tossed landing heads. It is a valid statistical outcome. There could only be one universe where every penny ever tossed landed heads however, and there could be literally billions of universes where 50% of coins tossed landed heads.

QM and relativity would be out too!

I don't believe it!
On the basis that something extraordinary (i.e currently outside of human comprehension) must be responsible for the workings of the universe
On the same basis i'd have to stop believing in quantum mechanics and relativity, they were always beyond my comprehension too! lol

Well i'll agree that there isn't any data (that I know of anyway) supporting parallel universes. It's simply a stab in the dark at explaining strange quantum mechanical phenomena. Is it definately untestable though? I don't know...
