i think it would be good to know what would it take for a atheist to convert to a theist a theist to convert to a atheist.
what would convert me on the spot would be
a manifestation of a god if i am sure i am its not a trick of the mind or a hallucination if he comes i will convert. (wheres a talking burning bush when you need one)
no other exsplenation possible
aliens who belive in the exsact same religion
miracles like atheists getting struck by lightning more often, or theists recovering more often than atheist from fatal injuries
indisputable prophecies coming true (selfforfilling, one in a 100, trivial and vague do not count)
knowledge that was not available at the time if a passage of the bible would say moses i say to you your energy is your mass times the speed of light multiplied upon itself i would convert
i think by now you get the idea im more interested what would it take for a theist to convert to atheism or a another theism

2. Your video athiests would require specific dates for fulfillment of prophecy. Why? What's wrong with specific events or specific evidence verifying fulfillment; evidence, that is, like things naturally impossible, such as techy stuff na'er thought possible becoming reality and a nation of people scattered globally to return to their native nation after dispersion of nineteen centuries, etc?
no need for a specific date for me a general timezone and a not so vague prophecy would do something like 20 centuries after the son of god first came on to the earth the ground will shake and europa will be swalowed by the seas.
a prophecy like
To the enemy, the enemy faith promised
Will not be kept, the captives retained:
One near death captured, and the remainder in their shirts,
The remainder damned for being supported.
from nostradamus does not cut it for me you can interpret it any way you wish and at some point in time one interpretation must come true
Quatrains of Nostradamus - Century X

Re: what would it take to convert you to the other side?
Mmm, hadn't thought of that. Maybe that would be merciful and good for God to do, if that's what it would take to save the lost soul.
well kind of the oposite thing happend near my summer house by the sea in croatia.
most of the naighburs there are atheists or not perticulary devout only one was very devout he believed whitout question so one day a "pijavica" (like a tornado only smaller and very weak can only tare of roofs) came guess who's house is the only one that got hit we kinda joked about it later saying that god likes to beat the ones he loves.

so if allah came down from the sky and said you shalt not eat pork and you should go pray at the nearest masque or you will be dammed to hell
you would still be a christian
or if a super advanced alien race landed on erth and they gave us the anwser to everything including the indisputible proof that there is no god
or if Thor or any other so called god came to Erth demanding to be whorshiped you would still remain loyal to your faith

Be cause it seems to me that since there is absolutely no way in hell that you guys (those who won't worship God with the existence of empirical evidence), then the point is irrelevant.
if there is such a thing as god and if after i die he tries to judge my life i would tell him a thing or 2 about what an asshole he is, there are millions of christian children ding every day from hunger, disease, and the like and he cant wave his magic wand a bit to help them and if after that he would offer me to worship him or go to hell i would probably spit in his face
but i very much doubt that there is such a creature as god no need for one every thing could have and probably did happen on its own, and that whit all his supposed power i doubt he would be so heartless

i really don't get religion they actually convinced people that there is an invisible man in the sky that is watching everything you do, and he has a list of things he does not want you to do, if you do them he will send you to be tortured, burned.... and what not for all eternity and yet he LOVES YOU. come on i would get if a child would believe such nonsense but grown adults!!!!
a bit of the post is borrowed from george carlin

They may be different things, but they do go hand in hand. It seems to me that mere existence of a powerful being calling itself God might not be enough to worship him, but I think that with an abundance of empirical evidence that actually showed he truly did create every single thing in the entire universe including the entire universe, should be enough to convince an atheist to convert.
umm show me the evidence, i cant see any evidence pointing to god creating the universe.
