Pat Metheney
A friend of mine and I went to a concert a the Santa Fe Opera House in the early 80s. After a bit of substance abuse in the parking lot we went to find the line for the concert and somehow wound up at the backstage entrance. Still holding a quart bottle of Bud, I asked some guys standing around watching the roadies unload equipment if they knew where the line was for the concert and one kinda onry lookin' fellow gave me directions.
Well, the onry lookin' fellow and his group were onstage an hour later. Hey, I didn't know what he looked like, just knew them through the music.
