and Clinton snuck it by the republican congress and senate ... oh he was shifty wasn't he?

actually social services were also higher than defense, and the big four (defense, health & social services, debt payment and social security) are all 3 to 4 times the other departments.I see denial is still in full effect in putting the blame on anyone but bush for the debt. Keep thinking that way and we'll see what the excuses are in 4 years.another question to ask is what should the costs look like in an ideal world ... what would we like to see our money spent on?when push comes to shove I would still like to see money spent on health & social services and on social security, but see absolutely no reason to be paying interest on debt, and in an ideal world defense would not be needed either.what kind of vision do you have?

heh.gotta blame clinton even though the budget was approved by a republican congress and probably has more republican pork in it than the effect of clinton (and Al Gore who did a lot of the ground work) ...what will you blame in another 4 years as the economy and the dollar still tanks? (note the dollar down more than the economy has trickled up so you have a net down still, just hidden by the slumping dollar).
