Topic: What is God's Purpose for being?

Often times we hear that without God life has no meaning... I guess I can understand that logic (although I don't agree with it). Our purpose is to serve and love God correct? Is God's purpose to serve himself? This message has been edited by DC85, 10-13-2004 08:55 PM

Exactly if you need a creator to give you purpose. What is God's? How can it have one?

Jar I think I get what you’re trying to say... "My parents are here to take care of me" However this doesn't address the problem. They claim "without God we have no purpose" So how can God himself have purpose without a creator? Who assigned his purpose? This is the flaw in the logic

Christians claim without a god we have no purpose. So can I assume without a god of his own God has no purpose?
