Ark of the Covenant
According to Revelation 11:19, the ark has been taken to heaven. If you know anything about the importance of this vessel, it will become more than logical that it should be there.
Rev 11:19
And the temple of God was opened in
heaven, and there was seen in his temple
the ark of his testament: and there were
lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and
an earthquake, and great hail.

Re: Doctor - We need a doctor over here!
As for the 'blood of Jesus' test? Crap!
I've seen some people stretch it. This is a new stretch on stretch.

Re: Ark of the Covenant
I understand your consternation. Generally speaking, 'heaven' is understood to be God's home. That concept must be accepted by faith, the same way God is accepted. We cannot prove his existence, we cannot prove he has a home. That he would have a place of abode is commensurate with his existence, and so on.
When Jesus was taken into heaven, he went up in a cloud. When Jesus returns, he will come in the clouds. So I'd say heaven is 'up'.
As for where people go? If you mean upon death, then they go into a grave waiting for the resurrection. Some to go to everlasting life, some to go to everlasting death.
Check it out.

Re: Jesus's body
Jesus took on human form while on earth.
Jesus will return to earth in the same form as he left it.
"Up" means nothing other than that. If you want to believe sun or polaris or orion, that is 'up' enough for me.
The corruptible body will be raised incorruptible, that would be correct.
As for the maharishi? I'm not into Eastern philosophies. I'm not very good working out my future all by myself. I quite like the idea that Christ is my alibi.

Re: Ark of the Covenant
Thanks. My Hebrew is as awful as is my French, but I'm fairly good in German.
It is the beginning of the Jewish prayer, or supposed to be.
The circular discussion apparent in Schrafinator's post to me is unacceptable. Round and round is for the ponies at the carnival, those sorry and hapless creatures.
I love this invocation and decided to share it.
I'm not into anything that would lead to proof of God's existence, what he looks like, why he would need a home, and things like that. He cannot be proved, will never be, since it would topple the faith premise on which his requirements are based.
Thank you again.

Re: Ark of the Covenant
Whatever starting point pleases you. I would not even think of stopping anyone on any endeavor. The searcher for wisdom and truth has my encouragement. If your approach is honest and careful of your listener's needs, I'm with you. I don't care for slyness, for baiting, to put someone down, to make someone feel ridiculous, to give the impression of superiority. I gather you are none of these things.
Vielen Dank dafuer. (Many thanks for that).
Thank you also for sharing the story.
