I think Phat is trying to build up good karma by doing good actions and having good thoughts. By doing this he hopes to gain enlightenment and finally attain parinirvana thus allowing him to escape from the samsaric wheel of rebirth that brings constant suffering.Phat is a good Buddhist Either that or he is kissin God's butt with the hope of skipping Peter's queue at the pearly gates.Joking aside, I think Phat is carrying out a truly loving and caring gesture, we don't have to agree with it and we may think Phat has finally lost it, but I think it is done with sincerity.I personally would rather that no one prayed to God on my behalf, I really feel offended when someone includes me in a ritual that feeds their delusion.I think that Phat's spiritual war is doomed to failure, but the important thing is, will he acknowledge its failure, or will he move the goal posts as many theists do, thus maintaining his self deluding psychosis?Brian.
