I bet you did'nt know that.
And I'll bet you don't know that either, because it's nonsense. You may want it to be so, but as they say, "wish in one hand....."

Re: I laugh at your responces.
Read romans where it says the world is evidence of god.
If christians actually believed that, there would be none of this "young earth" nonsense getting spouted around here, would there?
And we're always happy to provide you with a chuckle....

Re: I laugh at your responces.
Can you ever start to make some sense just once?
Easy there, Des....
Go down to Hobbs the next day you have free, turn right on US 180, and drive out past Carlsbad till you get to El Capitan. Have a good look at that mountain, and then come back here and tell me how a coral reef 1600 feet thick, largely with fossils in the positions in which they grew, got there in a few thousands of years like young-earth enthusiasts claim. Did this God cat make it like that to fool us into thinking it's old? Did his assistant Satan do it to lead us astray? Or maybe, just maybe, did it get there from corals and sponges growing in a shallow sea?

Re: YOU GO!!!
Do you know how many different species of Frogs there are in the world? There are so many in fact, that it's very unlikely that they evolved.
So you would rather have me believe that ol' Noah had two of each and every one of those species on his big boat? Salt water kills frogs pretty quickly, you know. Would you like to start a thread in the evolution forum on this topic? I'll be glad to school myself up on frogs and toads too if you want to discuss their origins.

Re: YOU GO!!!
O.K.,but have you ever found out how big the ark was?
Yes, Des, I've read that story and I've been in discussions on this very forum about that. You can spin the ark story any way you wish, with a cubit being any length you want, and you'll find that the size of Noah's boat was either:
1) too small to hold two/fourteen of all that had the breath of life in its nostrils
or
2) way too big to float for 40/150/300+ days in the flood described in Genesis.

Re: Dan Breaks His Silence
However, Gone with the Wind doesn't claim to be a true story written by Almighty God. A story making these claims should obviously be treated a little more seriously than a good novel.
So you regard the Qu'ran and the Book of Mormon as books you should treat seriously? How about L Ron Hubbard's stuff?

Re: Dan Breaks His Silence
Have you ever tried to read a book by L.Ron Hubbard? I have, talk about strange stuff.
No stranger than Revelations or parts of Ezekiel or Daniel. Much more cynical, but not any odder.

Re: Dan Breaks His Silence
When you do research into these other books, you find errors and contradictions. But you don't with the Bible.
Except for minor points, like the Earth being immovable.....

Re: Nice try
So obviously the writers knew that the Earth was once one continent and later we had the continental drift.
Not real obviously..... this galloping drift silliness has been trashed pretty thoroughly over in the Geology and the Great Flood forum. It was "drift," not "scoot."
