You forget- Charles Darwin was a Christian who was writting about how the world works. Even he was troubled by his conclusions because the truth he found didn't match what was believed before-- he recanted, but you know what so did Gallileo and we know Gallileo is true--so just cause you faith doesn't want the truth to be told doesn't mean it isn't true.

In the Bible insects have four legs, rabbits chew cud, there are four corners to the earth, and the church believed that the sun revolved around the earth. Sounds like you got ahold of some bunk psuedo-science from some crazy american christian group trying to destroy science and replace it with literal creation.
I don't give anypoints for anyone who takes the Bible as literal- why should I? Jesus Christ himself spoke in metaphors and parables- that is obviously how God talks. Just cause something is metaphorical doesn't mean the moral message isn't true.
Evolution happens- antibiotics and insects become resistant- you think genetic material that changes frequency is going to stop changing because you think it stops where you want evolution to stop? You realize with out evolution we couldnt drill for oil, create medicines, or engineer pest resistant crops? I remember a letter from a man in the newspaper who was taught creationism, and then he became a petroleum engineer- while in schooling for engineering he found out everything he learned was a lie and absolutely useless to try to apply to real science. he remained christian but said that only extremists believe in literal creation, and he would never do that again.
To answer your question, if your aunt had a mutant baby, it doesn't mean that you would stop existing. There are other primates who are our cousins.
