The name for the point where a probability changes

This is starting to wander off topic but...One point of confusion is about the nature of observation. I think a reasonable view is that an "observation" is any kind of interaction.That is, if one atom interacts with another one an "observation" has taken place.I think this is supported by the difficulty of maintaining entanglement. It isn't just an intelligent observer that can destroy the entanglement.
