faceman flails:
Maybe as an atheist you can say that, but not as a Christian. As a Christian, you have to acknowledge that the Bible (including Genesis) is the inerrant word of God.
No you don't. You can be a good Christian and also realize that the hand-me-down stories gathered into on place, called the Bible, is a mere flawed human artifact.
The Bible obviously LIES all over the place. It is understandable, having been assembled by many different people in power over hundreds of years. There is no problem with that. There are marvelous lessons to be learned from the stories recanted from memory and translated by scholars. It is a very valuable book. But to give it more credit is folly. How could mankind even be able write down the Truth of God? What hubris to think so. So, no - the truths of Evolution do not rule out a God. The theory only exposes the inaccuracies of those putting the Bible together in it's current form.
