Evolution and Specialness of Humanity

Charlie, may I ask why such a low opinion of humanity? I really only see this in Christianity. It was Xianity that told me I was nothing, evolution shows me that I am very special and unique.Xianity has brainwashed people into believing that without god they are worthless. People are so scared of being nothing that they will latch onto anything that promises to forgive them for it.You are basically saying that without god telling you how special you are, you are too stupid to figure it out on your own. You would be a sociopath, not caring about anything without some god telling you to.It is the same as the argument about morality. That I will definately agree with.Glad I don't accept evolution blindly.Blind acceptance is what happens when you close your eyes and refuse to see the evidence in front of you because it makes you feel icky, and instead blindly follow anything that tells you you're special.

I know you can see the evidence, you have admitted as much. What else you have admitted to is closing your eyes, sticking your fingers in your ears, and going LALALA because you don't "like" what the evidence tells you. Ah, but here you are mistaken. An acceptance of evolution has nothing to do with whether or not anyone has faith in an afterlife.

Charlie, don't you see that you are making xians out to be sociopaths? Do you honestly believe that without a belief in your god that there would be no feelings? no love? no morality?I am so glad I'm not a xian. I couldn't stand living that way.

Charlie, it is people like you, that absolutely refuse to see that there is no conflict between science and religion, that cause people to lose their faith.When people have been told for so long that there IS a conflict, that they can't accept evolution if they believe in your god...what are they going to do when the evidence is right before their eyes? They are going to end up questioning your religion like Mike, or they are going to stick their fingers in their ears and yell "LA LA LA LA, I'm not going to listen to you because I'm special,"....like you.

Maybe you can explain how seeing the physical world and allowing the possibility of the non is not "see(ing) past the physical world." I see the possibility of many things and the reality of many more. And everything I see is beautiful.You on the other hand don't seem able to accept that there is a physical world. You are the one showing a limited acceptance of the world around you. You look and look but do not see.
