Evolution and Specialness of Humanity

So would you say the only reason you are "good" is in the hope of getting a reward for it? I enjoy being good for the other rewards it brings... seeing the effect my goodness has on people for instance, there's nothing quite like making someone smile, or helping someone to overcome some difficulty. get that warm fuzzy feeling going. I don't know what it is but I like it. I don't see why you are any less unique if described by evolution. If creationism is to be believed, god created us much as he created the animals, he made us different. but so did evolution.

You are special to those who love you, your family , your friends. This recived love will give you dignity. If creationism is to be believed you are less than this, you are inherently evil, doomed to hell. Out side of god, there is life to live for, the experience of it, the joy of new things and experiences. the joy of loving another. the beauty of nature. the reward of enhancing other lives. quite the opposite (I'm going to paraphrase Bill Bryson form short history of nearly everything). Consider that every last one of your ancestors from the first microbe to your immediate parents had the good fortune to be strong enough, fertile enough and attractive enough to reproduce.. that's quite a feat really. Can you not Love the process of living? of interacting? that is how you make your mark on this world. How you interact with it is how you will be remembered. Do you feel that if you lost your faith you would stop loving your friends? your family? I find that frighteneing. I get the feeling that for you to be without god is to be without emmotion, incapable of love, fear, excitement, depression. That is not the case as many non believers will testify to And there may well be one.. who knows? but do you believe in something like that simply because that's the way you want it to be? in that case I believe I have super powers *closes eyes*....... *opens eyes* oh.... look at that... I don't. If you are loved by just one person you are no less special than if you are loved by millions. Wow... now there's a case for genetic modification if ever I heard it!Prophex: I get the feeling you don't get much love/attention from the world/people around you. as far as you can see the only source of love is god. I feel sad for you. because I reckon your wrong, I reckon you have friends, possibly a girl/boyfriend, who more than likely think quite highly of you, maybe even share your views. No, I don't understand this. Can you tell me why I should? other than out fear of no after life.Suppose I'm right, Suppose when we die, there's nothing, no existence. no up, no down, no light no dark. Nothing.
so what? I'm not going to worry about that now cos there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. I will enjoy my life as best I can, try to help others enjoy theirs as best I can. If I have kids they will live on, hopefully with the principals I have taught them. maybe the world will become a better place, bit by bit, maybe we will evolve intellectually to a point where we will better understand the nature of and the reason for our existance.I don't live purely for my own gratification. I don't life purely to enjoy the afterlife. If I was so keen to get to the afterlife as you seem to be, I would go there as quick as I could. I wouldn't hang around here waiting for the inevitable. So.. this isn't so much about God or the afterlife but rather it's about you feeling better about yourself. Is that taught in the bible?
Is your apparent hatred of humanity taught in the bible? Through gritted teeth it would seem.for someone so passionate about god you seem completely devoid of love.

Your point was about the strife and stuggle of mortal life, nothing to do with afterlife. You are darting about with barely any notion of where your own argument is leading you.please answer. Wasn't it your god that created this world of struggle and strife? if you think he didn't explain why you think that.
