Swearing isn't censored. There's nothing about swearing or language in the Forum Guidelines, but there is a rule about being civil. Behavior that causes threads to spiral out of control attracts the attention of moderators, and one of the tools moderators have for dealing with persistent behavior of this sort short of suspension is censoring the words people tend to use when exhibiting this behavior.
Apparently the other way of censoring people is by posting a comment then closing a thread so you get the last word.
The hypocrisy is not choosing to censor some words and not others, the hypocrisy is censoring some PEOPLE and not others.
If person A says "that's a l.i.e." and you don't censor them, then why the fuck is person B censored when trying to explain why it isn't "a ***"?
If you want to make some words absolutely forbidden, then make them forbidden to all. If you want to ban people, then be willing to ban ANYONE who violates a rule, not just the people you disagree with.
If you want to delete someone's post because you don't like what they have to say, then delete all similar posts, or just delete the whole thread.
If you want the last word in every conversation, just ban everyone and post only what you want.
Pretending that you are trying to organize some sort of "civil debate" while arbitrarily banning/censoring/deleting certain people and not others is just a joke.
