So, You're either gay, straight, or ***?
Well, those really are choices, right? What about bi-sexuality?

I don't know if you are straight or not, but speaking from the perspective of a straight man, the who idea that gays could be "recruiting" is just ***. Only a homosexual could propose such an idea because only a homosexual would consider the idea that they were just one good convincing argument away from riding a rainbow unicorn. Assuming bi-sexual people exist, you could have non-homosexuals with the idea that arguments could convince people to engage in more homosexual acts.

Huh, I didn't even think about prison...
But that seems more like "soft rape" than "turning gay"...

The key thing here being "more". If someone is already having homosexual sex, they are homosexual. Bi-sexuals are homosexuals who also still have sex with women. Straight guys are having no sex with guys. So, there's no talking them into having "more". Well there has to be a first time, and that's more than none, so yeah there is. And you're still relying on it being black and white. Someone who tried it once and didn't like it and wouldn't have tried it again could be talked into more of it. Why are you pretending like its all or none this time?

At which the Christian Conservative claimed that bi people prove that people are just one good argument away from "Having more gay sex". And that is still true for some people. I've seen it happen.
He came back with "Answer the Question". So, I realized there was no point carrying on the conversation. That's when I realized you were just trolling. All anyone had to do was look at the other thread that I linked to, where this entire debate here would have better been placed, and where we'll find you posting these things:
quote: quote: quote: The questions I was asking you to answer was why you totally flipped your position to the exact opposite. You since answered by explaining that you're just trolling here. But I already knew that, hence the "Busted".
I was making the point that straight people don't really believe in "gay recruitment". As I explained in the other thread, I have had friends who were recruited into being lesbian and saw it happen first hand. I'm straight and I believe it happens so I know the point you're making is wrong.
Someone who is actually straight can not honestly make the argument that all straights are just "one good argument away from turning gay". Not straights, but for bi's.
Really, non-gay guys don't really care enough to run an entire political organization to ruin the life of gays. They may vote against gay marriage because of their personal prejudice but they aren't going to go out there and run an organization to "pray away the gay" or actively fight gay rights. Well that part is true. I haven't politically discussed gayness anywhere but here and I wouldn't vote against gay marriage because, frankly, I just don't give a shit. Giving a shit is in no way required to post about stuff here though.

Lesbians don't count. I was clearly talking about gay guys. Homosexuality is men is a condition of birth. It doesn't change. Homosexuality in women is not the same thing. Oh, well I have no idea about that. What makes you think that? The simple non-observance of male LUG's?
In fact, I never switched my position. You went from sexuality being a grey scale to sexuality being black and white.
Meanwhile Marcus Bachmann has built a career around spending a lot of time with gay teens in an attempt to deprogram them through the power of Jesus. No straight guy is going to pick that as a career. Why? Just like you said. We don't give a shit. The only reasons I can think of are religious or economic ones, or both. But they are there.

You're still using the General Reply at the top but you're typing in second person. There's a little reply button in the bottom right corner of each individual post that will link your reply to that post and then you will be addressing someone specifically.

For Example I play the heel, I disagree with almost everyone on just about every topic, to stimulate a discussion. Half the time I don’t care or believe the things I am typing, I am just trying to come up with relevant information to support the opposite POV. I am not very good at it, and you can often tell, because on many topics I am way off, and easily defeated, but there is no goal to win an argument here (I am not even sure its possible). I learn more about a topic as devilsdavocate, than I ever would if I just agreed with the consensus. I’m devilsadvocate about 75% of the tiem. How do we know that you're not just playing Devil's Advocate now, in claiming that you usually play Devil's Advocate? You could actually really believe everything you type! Shit, there's no way to tell at all just what you actually believe! Gee, I wonder if that has anything to do with why you should argue the position instead of the person

How about for starters there's no term for it. Bisexual!
If it was an equal phenomena you'd expect someone somewhere would have mentioned it. Then there's the complete lack of the "I was going through a phase" comment from guys. But there are guys who are attracted to both sexes...
No. I was talking about "gay rights" and "gay marriage". There isn't a "lesbian marriage" movement. There isn't a "bi marriage" movement. There isn't a "trans-marriage" movement. I was pointing out that "gay" as a term is an umbrella. Then Stranger made a joke, so I joked back. Then 5 of you asked the EXACT SAME QUESTION. Fuck me if I'm going to copy and paste the same response 5 times in 5 posts. I just opened your post from the email notification and responded without reading any of the thread at all. Not the best idea I had that day.
Then I left for 4 days. Until one of the gays came on to tell me that as a "straight boy" I wasn't allowed to have an opinion. At that point, it was ON. Regardless, you're still wrong about bisexuals being gay.
Nah. Think about it. Let's say you are a straight religious guy and you have a ministry and you are worried about "the kids". Okay. You are going to set up a "group" for kids in trouble. That group is going to cover kids who listen to devil music, kids who are smoking the drugs, kids who dress like vampires, gay kids and kids who have gotten busted by the police. You aren't going to set up a group that ONLY deals with gay kids. Why would you? If I was motivated by greed, then I would if I thought that I would make more money by limiting it to gays. Or if it was religiously motivated, and I didn't find immorality in those other things you mention, then I might limit it to just the gays. I dunno, but blanket absolute statements almost never fly.

Gay means 'is sexually atttracted exclusively to the same gender'.
If they're also attacted to women, then they aren't gay.
