You don't get it.
I don't get it. If you don't like gay marriage, don't get gay married. If you don't like gays, don't be gay. It's not that hard people.
The only people who are really angry with the homosexuals are the closeted homosexuals.
I don't know if you are straight or not, but speaking from the perspective of a straight man, the who idea that gays could be "recruiting" is just ***.
Only a homosexual could propose such an idea because only a homosexual would consider the idea that they were just one good convincing argument away from riding a rainbow unicorn.
If the people who "don't like gays" could actually take your advice and "don't be gay", this whole issue would have been resolved years ago.

Re: You don't get it.
Really, who the fuck cares if being gay is a choice after all? The debate over whether or not being homosexual is by choice or by nature is silly. It really shouldn't matter.
The answer doesn't matter. The question does.
The people posing that question are themselves homosexual and self loathing.
A non-homosexual wouldn't pose the question.
A non-self loather wouldn't pose the question.
I agree, if it was a choice, so be it. It's just that it isn't a choice.

Re: You don't get it.
So, You're either gay, straight, or ***?
Well, those really are choices, right?
My point was that people who are actually straight do not believe that they are just one good argument away from being turned gay.
I'm straight. I have plenty of gay friends. I've attended gay weddings. I've a vocal advocate for gay rights. At no time have I ever been tempted to be gay.
For someone to honestly be making the argument that people are recruited into the gay lifestyle, they themselves must believe that that is a possibility. The only people who believe that that is a possibility are people for whom that is reality.
In other words, if you think you can be tricked into being gay - you're already gay.

Re: You don't get it.
Now if this dogma is the mark of a closet case, how did it come about that ~95% of conservative Christians are gay and only ~5% of liberals ... ?
Gay kids raised in an environment where homophobia is endemic turn to the church for protection.
Look at Bachmann's husband. He's a "pray the gay away advocate".
Listen to him talk, look at his face - tell me this guy is straight.

Or bi......?
Bah! Bi guys are just gay guys who are too into themselves to limit the number of people who will give them attention

What about bi-sexuality?
What is this a time loop or something?

Re: You don't get it.
Assuming bi-sexual people exist, you could have non-homosexuals with the idea that arguments could convince people to engage in more homosexual acts.
The key thing here being "more".
If someone is already having homosexual sex, they are homosexual. Bi-sexuals are homosexuals who also still have sex with women.
Straight guys are having no sex with guys. So, there's no talking them into having "more".

Pitchers are so gay
It's not gay if your pitchin
Here's where I disagree.
Everyone makes this claim, but stop and think about it for a minute.
Assuming you aren't gay, you've got to take a look at a dude and maintain an erection. No erection, no sex.
Meanwhile, the catcher may be getting the business end of the deal, but he doesn't have to be inspired in order to do his work.
Pitching is way more gay than catching

Gay for Pay
Let me ask you what you think of people having gay sex for money? Could it not be said they were talked into performing gay acts, but not necessarily gay? Does this even matter?
Sure, someone could engage in homosexual acts for money and not actually be a homosexual.
However it doesn't really effect the original argument which is the closeted gay self hater who argues about gay recruitment.
I doubt the gay community is really actively "recruiting" people by paying straight guys to have gay sex on the hopes that they will like it so much they just can't stop.

Someone who tried it once and didn't like it and wouldn't have tried it again could be talked into more of it.
How many straight guys are sitting around going, "Gee, I know I like girls. I'm only attracted to girls. I really don't want to look at other dude's dongs. I think I'm gonna try gay sex just to make sure I don't like it?"
Who thinks like that? Honestly?

Re: You don't get it.
Ew...there's nothing worse than straight boys trying to explain sex...except straight boys trying to pigeonhole people based on their own limited sexual experiences.
Live a little and then you might vaguely have some legitimacy when telling people where they fit in on your sexuality scale.
Yeah, that's BRILLIANT. Attack the one guy who's supporting gay rights by complaining that he is "pigeon holing" guys who have gay sex as gay.
And you guys wonder why it's been a struggle.

Apparently guys think that lesbians think like that. Of course, women only exist for men so a woman who hasn't spent any considerable amount of time contemplating penises and doesn't want to try it "just for kicks" is a bitch.
Wow, you are just doing your damnedest to make me change my mind about gay rights, ain't ya?
Okay, YOU WIN! You are the one and only person who has any knowledge of lesbians.
NO lesbian has EVER switched sides in the history of the world.
There's NO such thing as a LUG.
There are NO women who spent their 20s as lesbians and now in their 30s are married with children.
Could you, as the one and only provider of information, set up an 800 number or something so lesbians can check in with you for your approval before making life decisions?

Blech....and who are you to say?
I'm a US citizen with voting rights.
I'm also, APPARENTLY, the only one in this conversation who knows how to use the quote function.

Re: You don't get it.
Are you claiming that bi-sexuals don't have sex with women? It's sort of the whole point of the "bi" part in "bi-sexual".
