Author | Topic: I want one good reason that being gay is ok | |||||||||||||||||||
Dan Carroll Inactive Member |
I believe we have clearly shown that it is against God's will for a person to have gay sex. What's this "God" thing people keep going on about? They keep telling me that "God" is for something or against something, but can't point to God or tell me what God is. Weird.
Animal kingdom, animals in the wild are gay, so its ok for us to be gay. Strawman. The argument is used against people who say "homosexuality is unnatural". Well, it happens in nature all the time. So down goes the unnatural argument.
"I was born this way." I refuse to believe this one also. That's cool. Your personal disbelief amounts to the square root of diddly squat, but okay.
I have never seen a completely happy gay couple, or a child from gay parents who wasn't screwd up by it. I have yet to see any kid that wasn't screwed up by their parents in some way. What's your point?
Maybe with intelligent conversation, you can give me one good reason that being gay is ok. There's no need. There's no compelling reason to think homosexuality has anything to do with morality one way or the other. You want to establish that morality has some sort of relevance here, the onus is on you to say why. "Egos drone and pose alone, Like black balloons, all banged and blown On a backwards river the infidels shiver in the stench of belief. And tell my mama I'm a hundred years late; I'm over the rails and out of the race The crippled psalms of an age that won't thaw are ringing in my ears" -Beck

After all what has been said in this forum to me about gay's. It is ok for me to ask this question. Way to dodge, big guy. Care to share "all what has been said" with the rest of the class? Went away four days ago, and came back to find fifteen pages of thread. In those fifteen pages, you have yet to establish that homosexuality has anything to do with morality one way or the other. And that is something you have to establish before you can start asking why it's okay. Otherwise the only answer you can get it is "it's neither okay nor bad. It just is." But I guess that will give you an excuse to keep waving your hands in the air and shouting, "Nobody can tell me why homosexuality is okay!!!" I want to know a good reason, just one. So, you will not be providing a reason why homosexuality has anything to do with morality one way or the other, then? I guess it's more fun to stamp your feet and repeat yourself. Have fun with all that. That makes it ok for them, not me. No one's insisting that you suck a wang, guy. So what do you care? Come up with a reason why homosexuality has anything to do with morality one way or the other yet? Well if its not ok, then its not really moral is it? True. So what makes you think it's got anything to do with morality, or being "ok", at all? This is... what, the fourth time I've had to ask you this? It must be a really tough question to answer. For something that should be so simple, I cannot get a simple answer. Frustrating, isn't it? Are you getting close to telling us why homosexuality has anything to do with morality one way or the other? Because I've been waiting for an answer for about 28 pages now, and I'm awfully curious.

kissing=sex Nice. I've gotten laid way more times than I thought!
Read all the posts, not just half of them. Planning on addressing post 410, amongst others? Wouldn't want to only read half the posts, after all. It's amazing over 400 replies, yet very few reasons were actually given. Personally, I think it's amazing that in over 400 posts, you have yet to give a reason why we should even wonder if it's okay or not. Once more, all together now: Why does homosexuality have anything to do with morality one way or the other? As they often put it (to me, at least), "so, how do you have any morals at all if you aren't religious?". I usually just tell them something like, "well clearly, I must not have any. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find a puppy, a jar of vaseline, and a slightly smaller puppy." The point of those ad hominem attacks is to indicate that, in civil society, there exists such a thing as verbal violence, and people have a right not to have offensive obscenities leveled at them. I realize that your conception of personal freedom means open season on homosexuals. Thank goodness that we live in a society that disagrees. Gonna disagree with you, Crash. I think that the monkey-humping, feltching pile of steaming scrotal cheese should have the right to call homosexuals "fags" if he wants. But he should also display the basic level of intelligence to know that if he does, then in return he's going to get labelled the miserable little horse-fisting spank-guzzler he is. Freedom of speech means that he gets to say whatever he wants, sure. Doesn't mean anyone has to accept what he says without pointing out what a sub-human waste of skin, blood, and hair he is. The part I love most about this thread is how everyone keeps saying that I never intended on accepting it in the first place. Hi, Riverrat! Can you tell us why homosexuality has anything to do with morality one way or the other yet? (Question to Admins: How many times does someone have to completely ignore a direct question before they're in violation of the forum rules?)
