Cain
You would have to read outside the bible in the books of Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha .The books of adam and eve and other texts from the Qumram scrolls( dead sea) . Here is a link The Books of Adam and Eve and other texts believed to be written by pagans ..Also read the apocalypse of moses . ( seperate thought ) You see that the parable taken with both the bible ( omitting 2:9 which contrdicts the theory) shows they are speaking of a spiritual realm (genesis ) .. not a physical , but then again thats contrdicted by 2:9 and is possibly the reason why it wasn't added to the bible . 2:9 " and out the ground made the Lord God grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight ,and good for food ,the tree of life and also the tree of good and evil "..Uses very physical descriptions .. it also tells of where cains wife came from , the land of Nod ... in the past these cultures acknowledged other gods!!!! they thought other gods created other peoples... the hebrews were the creation of their own personal God. You really have to read all the books in sequence to get the whole story . I am a Atheist ,and it amazes me christians dont'even know of these Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha...
