and I know they collect from this site. this is the only place that I use the e-mail associated with my posting here, just so that I can easily see the response notices. I get more spam with this addy than other accounts.I know it is a problem that percy has struggled with. perhaps he should look into munging the addresses posted.to the topic: fun.

I get a {{302 Moved -- the document has moved Here}} error that recycles itself.I found another copy of the list (a pdf file) and have saved it for future use. Now I just need to convert it to text to use as (1) search basis and (2) checkoff list

yep. That's the list I saved. Note that you cannot copy text from it like a normal pdf file. Wonder why .....

there were supposed to be asterisk on the ones known to be dead by DICharles? do you still have that or did you clean those off the list?I have some ideas on questions too. I like the idea of a science project. One of the questions would have to be endorsing the same statement (we don't need to say that we know they are on the list) to see what the current response is. One would also have to be a blatant endorsement of ID and one a complete rejection of ID.

you can also parse the names and sort by last names, by institutions, etc.5 steves ... heh. multiply the ~600 steve list by 80 ....

Your concerns are valid, and posting names and e-mails may be flirting with that.But I look at it as confirmation of the list, not attacking the credibility\opinions of the people, but questioning the validity of the list and the manner it is posted by DI.Look at it as a scientific attempt to duplicate results?

Who knows, we might even encourage some to become active members on this forum. This is easy to resolve by emailing this information to the keeper of the list rather than posting it here. This would also help develop a separation between the forum and the activity.Anyone looking up the data can check the list to see who is already covered. Or we could set up a new website dedicated to the truth of alternate viewpoints, kind of like a scientific SCOPES site There are a number of places you can get free hosting, netscape is one, with sufficient capacity for this project.There is another way to attack the implications of the posting, however, without contacting a single one of these people:Do an independent survey with exactly the same phrasing, but add on to it: 400 signatures on that should not be too hard to get, especially from biologists, and would totally invalidate the postion made by DI because their statement is unqualified.{getting signatures on that form from people on the DI list, however, would be priceless ... )
