Re: Problem With Darwin's theory
Of course he knew about fossils.
It's also possible that he was at least aware of the work being done by Gregor Mendel.

Yet according to what Hitler and his henchmen wrote, the attrocities they commited were done based not on Naturalism but rather Christanity.
You cannot blame the behaviour of bad people on Naturalism. It is equally valid to attribute such behaviour to Christianity or any other philosophy.
Hitler, Stalin, Chief Justice Marshall, Wilson Lumpkin, Andrew Jackson and such were simply bad people.
edited add requisite spelling errors and President Jackson

So you agree that if naturalism is true, morality and even truth are evolving landscapes; there is no ultimate morality and there is no ultimate truth.
Actually, that's true under any system including Christianity. There is no ultimate morality or unchanging moral standard. The Bible makes that completely clear.

Dennis.
What does that have to do with the question of morality or whether or not there is some ultimate, absolute morality?

Well, let's look at thta.
What is the moral absolute called GOD?
What does it say do or don't do?
When GOD constantly changes the standard, is that not saying that there is no standard?

Re: Where's the fatal flaw.
but without Ultimate Truths in the realm of possibilty there is no reason to trust the "little truths" we think we are finding along the way.
Nonsense.
There is always the ability to measure results. We can trust those things which a demonstrable and repeatable.

How silly.
As before, that's a bit doubtful to mention Thomas Paine in this context, as he was an anti-evolutionist creationist, of a very generic theism kind, specifically wanting God to be included in science.
This is one of the classic examples of how Wallbuilders lies. It's also such a stupid statement that it is perfect for demonstrating just how shallow and gullible those who support ant follow such a nut organization really are.
Calling Thomas Paine an anti-evolutionist is simply stupid.
Thomas Paine died in 1809.
Guess what?
Charles Darwin was BORN in 1809.

Re: How silly.
Is this thread on Darwinism or not?
If it is on Darwinism, how can any opinion of someone who died the year Darwin was born be relevant to the discussion?
