I was just wondering about some tips to get through...
There are 2 methods used by professional Creationists that you might find useful:
Tip 1. Cognitive Dissonance - Simultaneously believing/knowing/accepting mutually contradictory ideas. You might try reading some of Andrew Snelling's, Walt Baumgartner's, and Jan Peczkis' (aka John Woodmorappe) work. They commonly use one set of facts and ideas in their mainstream publications that must past rigorous peer-review, and an entirely different set when writing for their Creationist audience.
Woodmorappe even cites himself (Peczkis)!!! ... Revolution Against Evolution – A Revolution of the Love of God
You can use this in class... you just need to learn the facts and ideas presented to you in your curriculum, then regurgitate it on demand. Your own personal beliefs must be compartmentalized away while you spew out the required material.
Unfortunately, this practice gives the appearance of being somewhat hypocritical.
Tip 2. Follow the teachings of Creationist Kurt Wise. Do a web-search and find everything you can written by this man. He is the most honest, forthright Creationist on the planet. Practice what he preaches.
Good luck, and keep us updated on how you are faring. Making the leap from home-schooling to classroom, especially straight to college, can be quite traumatic, for a number of reasons. I know you can find sympathetic and helpful people here you can lean on for advice or for just letting off steam.
