Infinite space
Infinite space does exist.(if you can call it existing)
When thinking about infinite space you have to picture more that just our universe. Our universe is infinitely small relitive to infinite space.
It is very hard to explain the concept of infinite space to someone. It is something that you have to realize on your own, but I can give you an example to point you in the right direction.
In this example I will use the size of our universe to show you how space can be infinite.
For this example we will say that the entire mass of the universe is represented by the number 1. If you double the mass of the universe you have a mass of 2,and if you double that 4, and double that 8,and so on infinitely. In other words, no matter how big something is there can ALWAYS be something bigger. This is not a hard concept to wrap your mind around, but what is hard to wrap your mind around is the concept of infinitely small. Picture our original universe with a mass of 1. Now instead of doubleing the mass infinitely, cut it in half infinitely. A mass of 1 becomes .5 which becomes .25 which becomes .125 and so on infinitely. The main thing you have to realive about infinitely small is that the mass of any given object can shrink for an infinite amount of time without ever reaching a mass of 0.
The bottom line about infinite space is that no matter how big something is, there can ALWAYS be something bigger. And no matter how small something is there can ALWAYS be something smaller.
Remember when trying to wrap your head around an object growing or shrinking infinitely,to think about each individual atom of that object growing and shrinking rather that the amount of atoms growing and shrinking.
P.S. If you would like a better explanation of infinite space or any other related topic, I would be more than happy to reply.
(I consider myself somewhat of an expert on life's important questions)

Re: Infinite space
Crashfrog,
Our universe may have bounds, but that doesn't mean that there isn't something other than our universe beyond those bounds. Infinite space is much more than just our universe, actually, it's infinitely more than just our universe. There are infinite universes within infinite universes, infinitely.
You said that it is NOT possible to move infinitely towards 0 without ever reaching 0 because at a certain point the difference between 0 and the measurement becomes undetectable. No offence, but what I think you are forgetting or not realizing is that just because something is undetectable by us doesn't mean it doesn't exist. A nano second is an undetectable amount of time to the human brain, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Visable light are the only frequencies of electro magnetic radiation detectable by the human eye, and yet we are aware of the existance of radio waves, micro waves, infra red, ultra violet, x-rays and gamma rays. A measurement that seems infinitely small in our existance, can seem infinitely big in another.
Space is not the only thing that exists within infinity. both time and space are infinite. And they are infinite in an infinite amount of ways. AS ARE YOU AND I.

Re: Infinite space
As far as moveing infinitely towards 0 goes, think of it this way. Picture every particle of our universe shrinking at the exact same rate and speed. Because we would be shrinking at the same rate as everything else, we could theoretically shrink infinitely without even relizing anything was happening.(THEORETICALLY!)
Alot of people will tell you that as you move infinitely towards 0, you reach a point where the measurement is so small that it might as well be 0. This is ONLY true from our point of view. If you want any chance at all of wrapping your head around the idea of infinite space, you have to realize that our point of view is irrelevant.
There are infinite points of view.

It's POSSIBLE that our universe MAY be quantized. But infinite space consists of a hell of alot more than just our universe.
When I talk about infinite space, I am reffering to something infinitely more complex than just our universe.
You should not dismiss the idea of infinite space just because you believe our universe is quantized. There could be an infinite amount of quantized universes existing within infinite space, all with their own range on the infinite spectrum of time, size, speed and frequency. In other words, a measurement that is so small that It can't exist in our quantized universe, could to another universe be so big that it doesn't exist in their quantized universe.
Our universe is an infinitely small part of infinite space.

I meant that everything has to shrink relitive to each other, including the space between the atoms. The atoms would move towards each other at the same rate at which they are shrinking.

True, but if the arrow and the person were to shrink at the same rate of speed as they were moving towards each other, theoretically they would never meet.

It was just a hypathetical example, NOT a theory of mine.

That's what makes theorizing so fun, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
We are limited only by our imagination.

Re: Infinite space
Humanity used to believe that atoms were the smallest particle(life's building blocks). Then we found a way to peek inside and found electrons and a nucleus and thought that was it. Then we found out that the nuculeus is made up of protons and neutrons and for a long while it was believed that protons neutrons and electrons were the smallest particles to exist, until we found out that protons and neutrons are made up of quarks. Eventually scientists will learn to except that all particles are made up of other particles, which are made up of other particles, which are made up of other particles, infinitely. (at least in my opinion)

Have you ever asked yourself what those strings might be made of?
And what makes up the things that make up the strings, and what makes up those and so on.

How do you take quotes from other people and put them at the top of your reply in a blue frame like that?
Just wondering.

Spacetime.
Which in my opinion is infinite.
All I am trying to say is that there is a possibility for infinite space within everything.
