This is also a good lesson on the inadequacies of the human senses with relation to reality. Even though the cup FEELS like it is getting heavier, it is only through the scientific method that we know that it is actually getting lighter. Therefore, common sense at it relates to human perception is unreliable in describing reality. This invalidates the concept of percieving a creation through human perception alone, or in detecting intelligent design.
