Off topic question
How does a fossil reach to a low strata?
Does the fossil sink, and hence (for example) fossils from 5 myo(*) will be found lower than fossils from 3 myo?
If i will drop a stone on the land outside my house, and suppose theoretically no one will move it..
when i will come back (theoretically) in more 5 myo should i expect to find that the stone sinked to a lower strata?
* myo - million year old

Re: Sinking stones
So, basically if i will place a stone in the ground near my house and no one will move the stone.
when i will come back (for example) in more 4 million years (theoretically speaking) i will found her in a lower strata?
not because she sank, because (for example) wind has blown dust?
