Who can blame them? I mean, talking to angels, taking receipt of miraculously delivered tablets of divine instruction, receiving God's permission to sexually exploit young women...

The "peoples of the book" (which I gather now includes Mormons as well as Jews, Christians and Muslims) could wave their bloody hands at each other darn near forever without running out of murderous quote accusations.
