Not a big issue, but my view is :

The bible does NOT "say Pi is 3".
The bible does IMPLY Pi is 3.
​
The bible does NOT imply Pi is 3.0.
The bible implies Pi is APPROX. 3.
​
Which it is.
Pi is 3 to one significant figure,
the significance level given in the passage.
​
