well for one I like the quote. You do know what the word zeitgeist means, don't you?

Zeitgeist does not mean Time Ghost! It means the vibes of the culture...not necessarily literal spirits or ghosts!

What I find amazing is the way in which people from both sides of this debate (Jesus: Real or Not?) get so worked up emotionally at either trying to prove that Jesus existed and was the Son of God or whether He either never existed or was one of many minor players in history. I cannot disagree with you there.My question would be whether the whole idea of God communing with humanity originated from God directly influencing humanity or whether the idea originated from within humanity itself.How would we know, in any case? One thing that amazes me about the "stories" is the fact that they speak to humanity. The issue of whether Jesus was divine while on earth or human while on earth is irrelevant.

Indeed. But it is interesting what we really want to listen to.We agree with Harry Potter because the story empowers humanity.We tend to disagree with Biblical Literalism because it makes us imperfect.

Its interesting how easy it is for we humans to believe that our perceptions, discoveries and potential can go on forever yet we scoff when given the idea of a God who has gone on forever.

The movie portion that I saw talks of the shady deals that the U.S. government made with third world countries. Seems the movie asserts that the corporations influence the government and that the government makes sure that business friendly leadership runs these countries. So far, the evidence provided suggests at least an indirect correlation.
