What religious rights, if any, are currently being eroded in the USA?

Sorry about butting in here guys, but speaking as a non-American...Thank the gods I live in a country that's short on fundamentalists.Willow, I have a few questions... do you realise what kind of impression you're giving here? You're making every other intelligent American on the board look like a fool.Also, as far as I know, the Founding Fathers just wanted religious equality seeing as they were fleeing religious persecution. (I thought that was the whole point of whichever Constitutional thing gives you freedom of religion). Religious equality automatically means that they couldn't favour any religion over another, so to keep it simple they invented the separation of Church and State. Am I right so far? So the state cannot even endorse the religion that may have created it, because it must maintain religious equality. It's got nothing to do with atheism - atheism isn't even a religion so technically it is entirely irrelevent, simply because there is nothing for the State to 'protect'. The State is not being hostile to Christianity - it's simply being impartial, as it should be to all religions and that's exactly what the Founding Fathers seemed to have wanted.You sound like a complete paranoid in your post.
