For some context, here's the original thread, starting from WT's assertion on religious rights.
I've gotta back Crash's question here. As far as I can tell, we're living in the most religion-friendly government we've had in over a decade. So what are all these hastily dissolving rights?

Therein is the blackmail.
Willowtree, that question was already raised on the previous thread, when you not only refused repeated requests to support your statement, but refused to even clarify what you were talking about.
Since it was off topic, a new thread was opened to repeat the request. It has your name on it because the request is still being made to you.

This statement is completely untrue.
I see. So you did support your statement, and you did clarify what you were talking about?
What post was that in? I must have missed it. And here I just thought all you did was accuse me of "feigning questions" and then refuse to answer.

I did respond - the problem was that you did not like my answers, so like now you just lie and claim I did not respond.
No, I'm aware that you responded. That's why I never said you didn't.

Religious rights are being ajudicated out of the Constituition by the religion of atheism and its congregants in the public and private sectors.
Willowtree, please... specific cases.
When has it happened? Who was affected?
Specifically what religious rights are being taken away?
quote:
God-hating judges are interpreting the Constitution to say a Bible, or a Cross on public lands, or a generic prayer to be an EDORSEMENT of religion and thus a violation of Church and State.
"Public lands" would be the key point here, wouldn't it? If the land is owned and maintained by the government, then yes... putting up a cross is a tacit government endorsement of Christianity, just as hanging a cross on my front lawn would be a tacit Dan endorsement of Christianity.
quote:
I take comfort though, knowing, that this anti-God success is actually, and inadvertedly caused by God when He removes God sense and delivers those who oppose Him into the hands of demons who hate the freedom that the Constitution makes possible.
I don't know about you, but my God sense is tingling.
I think the Green Goblin is going to throw Jesus off the George Washington Bridge.

Re: Yup, I definitely have to agree.
I think the Taliban are the new Nazis. Insofar as the first person to compare their opponent to the Taliban has lost the argument.
I mean come on... the guy's a dink, and he was breaking the law to be sure, but he's hardly up to the level of killing anybody, or turning half the population of the country into second-class citizens by virtue of their genitals. The Taliban comparison just isn't valid.

Ah, just ask her how Hollywood Squares is going. That'll shut her up.

I urge you to understand the above statement.
In return, I urge you to read the second half of the statement you snipped. It makes clear that I was making a quick joke about online debating, not actually saying anything about Nazism.
I also urge you once again to bring up specific instances of erosion of religious rights.

Willowtree, I can't reply to your new Nazis topic, because it's still being proposed. Edit it and take my quote out. It's already been pointed out to you in this thread that you're cutting off half the quote to use it out of context.
Doing so once is an excusable mistake. Twice is being an ass.

I prefer the Sun-Times to the Trib, myself. Their bias is more obvious, and more easily weeded out.
