Always a good topic, Flyer.
I try to stay away from pilsners as they can turn somewhat skunky. But a good, chewy pale ale really gets my cockles up. A local brewery, Summit, makes a good one, and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is also up top. The hoppier, the better, I say...
Guiness is a good bet but I'm usually limited at one, since it seems to fill up my belly rather quickly. A more common dark choice that currently (albeit temporarily) resides in the 'ol beer fridge is Michelob Amber Bock. I've loved the stuff since it came out (around the early-nineties, I'm thinking) and still enjoy it.
Call me a snob, but I spit on main stream brews like millerbudpabstbuschcoorskeystone. Squirrel piss, all.
Have a good one.

I can never convince him to smoke out with me though, wish he would.
You should hang out with my old man, then. Not that he tokes these days (as far I know ), but he often claims to have smoked enough weed over the years to insulate a small house.
He said the last hit he took (allegedly) was sometime in the late 80s, and quit b/c the joint in question was laced with something "not nice".
He's a big fan of BBQ, too.
Have a good one.

Becks must be the proof that the Devil hates us.
How can anyone drink that stuff?
Hey JUC. Y'know, I've asked this question in the past as well. All I can really say about Beck's beer is:
Have a good one.

Re: It's Wine
Hey AZPaul3.
Wine is fine. Have you ever tried Shiraz? Or barring that, Syrah? (pretty much the same wine, different country) I like Cabernet very often, but I jump to Shiraz when I'm looking for something a bit less dry. You still get the smoky, blackberry flavors, but less of the woods and what I call "puckery-ness".
I'm with you on the Merlot and Pinot Noir. Those'll throw my dryness meter into disarray. Somewhere I read that Merlot is basically the bottom of the barrel, as it were, of wines in France (not that France is the be all and end all of winemaking by any means). Personally, I can't understand why Merlot is such a fad here...
Sorry for the OT. Back to beer...
Have a good one.
