Should it read
"Bearing false witness... except when your on medication", in which case he's a free man.

Accepting Jesus determines ultimately whether or not you go to heaven or hell.
Once you accept Jesus you become in God's family. Any sin you do after that point is a family issue. The less sins you commit the greater the reward in heaven.

You do realise you just contradicted yourself?
The 10 commandments may as well be called the 10 recommendations if "Accepting Jesus determines ultimately whether or not you go to heaven or hell."
Also, if I accept Jesus, but make a go of commiting sins as much as possible, at what point do I get NO reward in heaven, but still go there.

So are the commandments just that, or recommendations, because they have no relevance as to whether I go to heaven. They're not very "commanding" if I go to heaven anyway.
All I have to do is sin as much as I like, & accept Jesus. Whether you think I have accepted Jesus or not is subjective on your part. I may well accept him right at the end in the last breath of life I have. Get out of jail free.

Of course , I would only do this to jump queue at the JD counter.....

Oh I see what you mean. If they are commandmends then what is the punishment for not obeying them sense you can still go to heaven? I would have to say the punishments for not obeying the commandments would be received in life.
[/QUOTE]
That assumes you get caught. If I stole 100, & never got caught, surely I would be at an advantage, not dissadvantage, for having broken a commandment?

He said we were more closely related to a sunflower than a chimp, based on cytochrome c amino acid sequences, for one.

No, he said we were more closely related to a sunflower than a chimp. Whatever his point was, this is a LIE.
Here are the amino acid sequences for sunflowers, humans, & chimps.

Does that answer your question, or did i misunderstand?

This means God punishes us in life, but there are plenty of crooks that are very wealthy, live to good ages, so, how did God punish them?

Do you know what tape he address this on? I'll check it and find out for sure what he said. I checked the link on that website but it was a broken link.

"Well, now, hold it. If you want to just pick one item and that's supposed to prove relationship, did you know that human Cytochrom [sic] C is closest to a sunflower? So really the sunflowers are our closest relative folks. It depends what you want to compare. If you want to compare the eyes, we are closest to an octopus. Not a chimpanzee. Pick something. What do you want to compare? Human blood specific gravity is closest to a rabbit or a pig. Human milk is closest to a donkey. It depends on what you want to compare. Pick something. If there were not some similarities between us and other animals we could only eat each other. So God designed all animals from the code so we could eat other plants and animals and digest them. Not proof for evolution. It's proof of a common Designer! "
Is the only transcript I have, not sure what tape, or even if it is on a tape.
Also, chimp eyes are closer to ours than an octopus, on an anotomical basis alone. Our retinas are "back to front", compared to an octopus eye. The optic nerve emerges from the "wrong" front side, it has to delve through the retina to get to the back of the eye. This point has no rods or cones, & is why we have a blind spot. Another lie. Thats at least two in one paragraph, way to go, Kent!
