Re: Still OT
I would love to see all these people who think we are not the only ones out there, suddenly think that we may in fact be the only ones out here.
You may be slightly confused by my use of the term giggle - it had a number of meanings in the UK besides the literal.

Re: Faith in the unseen
A true scientist would explore any possible explaination that is TESTABLE
Thats your opinion, a bad one at that.
Dictionary by Merriam-Webster: America's most-trusted online dictionary
It doesn't refer to a single person and in no way indicates that there were not humans before this person
I didn't say it proves there were no other humans before, I just read that it came from one person. And I saw it on the news (which isn't worth a crap either) and read it it popular science and discover mag.
Can you name one scientific theory that requires the intervention of the christian God?
If I showed you a documneted miralce, would you say that is a theory with the intervention of God?

I meant to say "don't get me started on gays and lesbianism."
Which really meant I don't want this thread to turn into a big gay verse the bible thing again.
Yes, I don't agree with it, is that a problem? Does it make me a bad person?
I didn't say I hate it.
What kind of lesbian are you, well lets see, as far as I know, you are the kind of lesbian that hates men like me and B2P.
So you are a hating lesbian.
More important, you are a hating person.

Re: Faith in the unseen
Wow, do a search on the internet, there so many documented miracles it isn't funny, not to mention all the miracles in the bible.
I hope to attain the proof of my personal friends son miracle, but I have to go ask them this week.

Re: In comes the cavalry
If it is not proven, you cannot say that it happened.
That is truth.
People who belive in it, are believing in something that isn't proven, I call it faith, so does the dictionary.

Re: Faith in the unseen
Why is it you don't answer my question?
Are you are looking to justify what you believe in because its a good chance that germs cause desease?
If I told you soap cleans dishes, and there is a theory behind it, but its not proven, does that make all science valid as truth?

Re: Faith in the unseen
This site doesn't work like that - if you want to make an assumption about a documented miracle, it is upto you to prove an example. We do not debate by website - so you need to provide a example.

Oh, so its proven?
I'm not saying here that is no chance that it didn't happen.
I'm saying that its not proven.

Re: Faith in the unseen
Again, there are many miracles in the bible, but I guess you don't believe in them either, because its 2000 years old. But you would believe in a fossil that is millions of years old.

Again, I do not need the incredibly obvious from you.
Please make some intelligent interjections.

I do? who's been words in someone's mouth now.
We will class that claim as refuted as you either a) refuse or b) are unable to supply any supporting evidence.

Re: Faith in the unseen
That part is true. But data is not the conclusion
Ah ha! lol
Ever since darwin who made some observations, and guessed that we evolved, we have been trying to find data to make the conclusion true.
People such as myself have made our own observations about life, and decided that it is so wonderful, that God must have created it. Whats wrong with trying to prove it?
Of course it can be considered science, just not saying if its bad or good science.
We first went from dirt to some replicating thing. Some time after that we evolved into something like a single cell.
I'm not saying that it didn't happen either, just to clarify that with you. I am not ignorant to evidence. But I also see evidence that we were created.
I'm also not so sure about a young earth either. But anything is possible. I won't sit here and say-"no way is the earth 6000 years old" Because I just don't know for sure.

Re: Faith in the unseen
I forgot the actual term for his condition, but it was a tangle of blood vessels behind his eye, that was going to require removal of his eye to operate on. It was an extremely risky surgery, and if not done it would cause major damage to him.
Anyway, right before the operation they did another cat scan, and the tangle was gone. The doctor admitted to them that he has seen many things cure themselves over the years, and you could say they are miracles if you want, but there could always be a rational explanation for it. But this one, there was no explanantion for. So they documented it as a miracle in Beth Israel hospital in NY.
That is the stroy I was told, I will try to verify it this week for all of us to check out.
