I don't know if anybody feels the same - but I feel that creationist posters on EvC have many common traits, as do the scientists.
Being on the scientific side of the divide, I naturally relate to and respect the postings of the scientific heavyweights on the forum.
Creationist posts generally seem to me to be rambling, unfocussed, illogical, full of irrelevancies and non-sequiturs.... and above all, it seems impossible to have a discussion that builds to any conclusion
There never really seems to be a meeting of minds between the two communities.
What do scientists and creationists think?

Re: Straggler vs RAZD
Perhaps the prediction came to him as a non-empirical "experience" while he was awake and conscious. This shows that non-empirical "experiences" of an undefined nature can have predictive qualities, and can be used to draw conclusions about objective reality! They don't count as a sixth sense, though. Definitely not that.
Or, maybe Percy just made an incredibly accurate assessment of where the debate would wind up.
Who can say? In the absence of evidence, I suppose I'm forced to be agnostic on the matter
.
Don't, please!!!!

Abortion thread
I'm very impressed by the standard of debate on the abortion thread - good discussion, honest opinions, openness, no grandstanding.

Re: Straggler vs RAZD
Neither Straggler or RAZD strike me as immobile zealots for their respective causes - both are among the best posters we have on this board.
I love RAZDs use of 'curiously...,','fascinatingly....' as a way of deflating creationist posts - though I'd hate to be on the end of it, and sometimes I think RAZD overuses the technique.

Smooth Operator
Smooth Operator,, an id advocate, is clearly an intelligent and knowledgeable person, but I find him /her so frustrating to deal with because of his / her unwillingness to concede he / she is wrong on any point.
* sigh * ... I suppose I should be used to this by now.
